P.A.T. For Landlords and Holiday Homes?
Any landlord who lets residential accommodation which includes flats, apartments, houses, holiday homes, boats and caravans as a business activity is required by law to ensure the electrical appliances they supply as part of their tenancy are PAT tested regularly and are deemed safe to use.
Portable appliance testing is an important part of any landlord’s health and safety policy. Nearly 25% of all reportable electrical accidents are due to portable appliances as stated by the HSE. These are the appliances we all use everyday from your kettle to a microwave oven. Our company is based on the belief that our customers safety comes before any cost cutting.
Whilst we fully understand we are all on a tight budget.
A PAT test is becoming just as important as a Gas Safety.
& with recent fines of £5000 its not worth the risk.
So even if we don't do it for you, please get one done if own a holiday let or an furnished rental property.
So far every PAT test I have carried out has at least 1 appliance
fail.
We have extended our £40 Special Price for a PAT Test for existing Members into March.
So now is the time to get this done.

As a maintenance company we have a duty of care to make sure these basic requirements are met. This will apply to all
renewals of membership as they arise. If you are not prepared to be safe with your customers, then we prefer not to have you as one of ours.
